Wednesday Night KAL-PLUS!

There is a new addition to our Wednesday Knit-A-Long or KAL!

We are now calling this event KAL-PLUS! What that means is you have the option to join the selected KAL or you can choose a project you are comfortable navigating on your own. This will be more inclusive to all who want to join in on Wednesday evenings!

For July, our chosen project is “Hansel” by Gudrun Johnston; you can choose either the Full or Half version, depending on how large of a shawl you would like to knit. Gudrun is a fantastic knit wear designer from the Shetland Islands. This is a traditional Shetland Hap which is a shawl worn by women in the Shetland Islands of Scotland. We will be using real Shetland wool, Jamison & Smith’s 2 ply Jumper Weight, for an authentic knit. We have lots of beautiful colors to temp your palette!

(You also have the option of knitting a project of your choice instead of the KAL.)

Led by: Heather

Cost: FREE

Materials: Jamison & Smith 2 ply jumper weight-see pattern for your yardage and color requirements, US size 8 32” circular knitting needles, and a copy of the pattern “Hansel” by Gudrun Johnston available for purchase on Ravelry.

Note: This is not a class. Heather will be knitting with you and providing light pattern support. Please choose a pattern you are comfortable navigating on your own.
