Beginning Embroidery

In this class, you will explore working with variegated threads, and begin thinking about color play. You will learn Raised Stem Stitch, Reverse, and Double Reverse Chain, as well as explore French Knots. We will discuss details for creating a small decorative embroidery. You will leave with a sampler of stitches and tips and tricks to help you as you try out new skills.

In each beginning embroidery class we will cover a filling stitch, an accent stitch and an outlining stitch. The goal is to experiment with textures provided by different stitches, and to learn how to utilize them in a small project.
