Posy Shawl - Part 1

The Posy shawl is the perfect accessory for summer. Lightweight and soft with a crescent shape that is big enough to cover your shoulders. Posy can also be worn like a scarf, for a lot of versatility! The pattern starts with garter ridges and then flows into a beautiful, delicate floral lace. This is a great pattern for someone who has done some lace before or a knitter who is ready for an adventure.

In this three-part class you will learn how to make a "garter tab cast-on,” one of the most popular ways of starting a shawl. You will also learn new increasing methods, some specialty stitches, and how to read a lace chart. There will also be a discussion on blocking the finished shawl, and how to use blocking wires to make the most of your lace work.

When: Fridays, June 28 July 12, 19, 6-8pm (no class July 5)

Instructor: Heather

Cost: $75

Skills Required: Intermediate. Must be a knitter who knows how to fix basic mistakes and read stitches. Prior experience knitting lace is a plus. We will be working from a charted pattern.
