The Ursa sweater will transition you into the fall season in style. A great layering piece for your wardrobe, it looks great on all body shapes and sizes! Layer it with a linen tunic or a comfortable cotton dress. Knit in bulky weight yarn it takes shape quickly. Bust darts are optional for shaping and you are sure to learn a few new skills with this beautiful pattern. There is a half brioche stitch that makes a flattering faux seam, and Heather, our resident brioche expert, will guide you through every step of the way. This a cropped sweater but you may add length to your desire.
In this four-part class you will learn the construction of a sweater from the top down with a V-style neckline. You will also learn the half brioche stitch, German short rows, picking up and knitting stitches, and you will have the option to use bust darts for shaping.
Skills Required: Intermediate. You should be a fairly confident knitter who is able to cast on, knit, purl, knit in the round and increase.
Pre-Work: You must swatch and block your swatch to determine the size sweater you will be knitting and what size needles to use to match gauge. Instructions for proper swatching and measuring your swatch will be emailed once registered.

Session 1: 8/3 - We will hit the ground running! Casting on and increasing and learning the half brioche stitch.
Session 2: 8/10 - Separate for sleeves and bust. Bust darts if that applicable. Understand how to work the rest of body.
Break: There is a week break to help ensure enough stitching time.
Session 3: 8/24 - Work on sleeves.
Session 4: 8/31 - Neck Finishing. Answering any questions.
