Welcome to Yarn Shop Santa Cruz!

Yarn Shop Santa Cruz is a warm and welcoming store established in downtown Santa Cruz in 2016.
We offer a wide and beautiful selection of yarn and notions for all yarn crafters.

We are here to support crafters of all skill levels, regardless of gender, race, sexuality, age, body, disability, country of origin, religion, or socioeconomic class, to enhance their love of working with yarn. We can help you select patterns and choose the best yarn and perfect notions for your project.

Community is very important to us and we love being a part of Santa Cruz's vast and varied artistic community.
Due to Covid 19, we are not holding any in-store classes or events at this time. We hope to resume those in the future!

BLACK LIVES MATTER.

We would like to take use this space to acknowledge that we have a platform that can help to amplify the voices of those fighting for an end to the systemic racism that exists in our country. We would like to share some resources and places to donate.

- The Loveland Foundation is an organization that works to financially support women and girls of color in receiving therapy and access to healing.

- IFund Women of Color is a resource for ways to support diverse, women owned businesses. This is especially important right now in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic impacts.

- The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund fights for racial justice through "litigation, advocacy, and public education."

- #8CantWait is a project advocating for eight policies for cities to enact that would reduce police violence by 72%. This is a project by Campaign ZERO, a "data informed platform" that "presents comprehensive solutions to end police violence in America." This is a great resource for informing
yourself on police violence in the U.S.

There are so many more resources out there, from places to donate or volunteer to books to read to further educate yourself. We know this is just a start but we continue to be committed to educating ourselves.

Cory

Cory is a California native who came to Santa Cruz in the mid 90's. She is most happy and fulfilled when she is with family and friends. From a young age, Cory has worked creativity into all aspects of her life from the workplace, the home and out into the community. So, after homeschooling her children for 20 years, it was natural that she combined her love of connecting with people and something creative. She is delighted to be in the heart of Downtown Santa Cruz offering a warm and welcoming shop filled with a wide selection of beautiful yarn and notions.

Casey

Casey loves anything to do with yarn. Since she first learned to crochet when she was 7-years-old, Casey has been passionate about making! Besides fiber arts, she is interested in pretty much anything else that is creative. Casey is always looking for new things to learn and ways to create.
